ATHENA will attend the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) to be held 2-7 December 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda and we invite you to join us for the activities and engagements led by ATHENA-affiliated emerging leaders and young women champions!

With support from UNAIDS since 2016, and collaboration with #BeTeamWomen since 2018, ATHENA is supporting new approaches to accountability for, by, and with adolescent girls and young women in their diversity to ensure global commitments contain and foster a bold SRHR and HIV agenda. We are putting the UNAIDS-funded #WhatWomenWant Accountability toolkit into action to monitor such commitments, specifically in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals. ATHENA-affiliated emerging leaders are seeding change from the ground up, connecting the local and the global, and strengthening young women-led civil society across regions and issue areas to advance an integrated approach to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and HIV to better meet the needs of, and reflect the realities of, young women and their peers.
